Step 1: Create your Buywheels Account

Click on the link Click here to create ad link on the home page and enter your contact details and create your own username and password. These details will not be displayed on your ad. They are only used to set up your ad on the Buywheels network

Step 2: Contact Details

When filling in the contact details you want to appear in your ad, remember to make it easy for potential buyers to contact you. Failing to do this might put off the one buyer ready to purchase your car.

• Phone numbers: Make sure you give potential buyers a number that they can reach you on.

• Email: We don publish your email address for email spam reasons. The email address you supply us with allows us to accept email enquiries from interested parties and pass them onto you. Please note Buywheels reserves the right to eliminate emails of the following nature:

Step 3: Vehicle Details: Make, model and year

Once you select your vehicle make, model and year, our system will automatically display descriptions and features based on the equipment level on the standard ex-factory equipment list. Try to be as accurate as possible when completing optional parts of the form.

When considering the price of your vehicle enter a realistic price in accordance with the market value in order to sell your car or bike faster.

Step 4: Features and extra items

To remove items from the features list, click on any item in the Features box that you want removed. It will automatically be moved across into the Extra Items box. To add items simply do the opposite.

Step 5: Up Loading Images or Photos

Great photos are crucial for selling success. It makes sense: as a buyer wouldn you want to see good photos of the car before sending an enquiry? There are two steps to this process: ensuring you get the right photo, and uploading the photo to the site.

• If you have access to a digital camera here are a few tips for a better shot:

  • We only accept images in jpeg format, under 7MB in size. This format is generally used by digital cameras, and any graphics editing package should allow you to save your file in this format. If you are unable to re-size your photos please contact our customer support team by emailing support@buywheels.co.in

  • Photograph your car in even light. Sunlight will create glare and impenetrable shadows, but a fairly bright overcast day will give excellent results.

  • Shoot the car from a angle, preferably the front right or left. This way people can see what the car really looks like. Also, shooting from adult eye height can enhance the look of the car. Dont use wide angle lenses as they can make the car look a little odd.

  • If you cant get your hands on a digital camera, you can scan a printed photo of your car too. These can be just as good as a digital shot, but remember to save it in the right size and resolution.

  • Uploading your photos to the Buywheels Network

When uploading photos, there are specific instructions that can be found on this page. Simply Click on Choose file and click on up load to up load the files

• Where to photograph cars

A suitable location is essential to get the best pictures. We recommend you look for a spot where the background is uncluttered. Placing the car on a concrete or tarmac floor, with a solid wall backing, or on open grass are both ideal places.

• Lighting

When taking photos outside, we recommend you park your car out of direct sunlight. Direct sunlight will create too much contrast, resulting in photos that look too dark with bright highlights or too bright with no detail in the shadows. Overcast days and shady areas are great for photographs.

• Flash?

We recommend you don use flash. Modern digital cameras are now of such quality that even in modest light conditions you can achieve acceptable pictures. If you do decide to use flash, check your photos straight away to make sure they havent washed out the cars colour and detail.

• Framing

Try to zoom in or out until the car almost fills the screen, leaving a small area around it for balance. Whatever you do, at least one shot - the 'main photo - should be of the entire car.

• Camera settings

The quality of automatic settings on digital cameras is excellent and there is rarely a need to alter any of the settings manually. The only suggestion we make is to either not use the flash at all, or to use it in 'fill' mode only when absolutely necessary. Please ensure your cameras photo quality setting is set to the minimum, to keep the file size below our maximum of 100kb.

• Taking the photo

Remember to press the shutter button part way for a moment before clicking it all the way in to take the shot. This partial pressure causes the camera to auto-focus, resulting in sharper photos which will help sell your car. Remember blurred photos will often cause a potential buyer to overlook your car.

Step 6: Pay for your Ad

Please select the type of ad you would like from the package option (standard or premium) and then choose from one of the following payment options:

1) Paid by credit card

When you pay by credit card, your ad is sent for review and approval. You will receive an email confirmation when your ad has been approved. Approved ads are generally online within one business day.

2) Payments by Net Bank

With Net Banking, you can pay without sharing your personal financial information and draw on funds from your bank account. Payment details are provides on the page which are used on your net bank account.

3) Paid by Cheque/DD

Your ad will appear live 7 to 14 days upon receipt of cheque /DD

How long does my ad last?

There is no time limit. Your ad is displayed for as long as you want it to be. Of course when you sell the car you have to remove the ad. So whether you sell it in one hour, or one week, or one month, or even one year, it costs you no more than Rs 99 for standard bike ads and Rs 199 for premium bike ads or Rs 199 for a standard car ads and Rs 299 for premium car ads. You have to admit that's a pretty fantastic offer.

We ask that you log in to your ad at least once every 30 days to ensure your information is up-to-date. To keep our site current for buyers and sellers, ads not accessed for more than 30 days may be removed from the site. 

How much do I have to pay?

It costs you no more than Rs 99 for standard bike ads and Rs 199 for premium bike ads or Rs 199 for a standard car ads and Rs 299 for premium car ads, total cost. You do not have to pay any more when you sell the car. If you would like to sell multiple cars and bikes then you can select the standard ad combo pack 5 at a cost of Rs 799 for 5 bike or car adds or select for a premium ad combo pack 5 at a cost of 1099 for 5 bike or car adds

How to sell your car faster?

Make sure you provide as much and as accurate details as possible. First impression is the last impression, after all.

Contact details?

Please make sure your email address and phone numbers are correct so that buyers can contact you. If you have multiple contact numbers, list the ones with higher availability.
